Picture a day: Jan 1 and 2

I was thinking through how I could use my daily pages in my A5 Hobonichi Hon, since one page isn’t usually enough for a rambling journal entry like I often write (though I did realize there’s more space on one page than I thought). I came up with lots of journal prompt ideas, but then I thought about visuals I could paste in to make the pages more interesting.

I figured I would try to take a picture every day, whether it be exciting or mundane, a picture to record some moment of the day. This would accomplish a couple things: making the daily pages more interesting, and encouraging me to practice photography every day, which I’ve gotten away from, despite photography being a major passion of mine. This practice will not only get me taking pictures regularly again, but maybe it will encourage me to do things that are interesting to photograph, instead of being a lump on a log. 😛

Realistically, a lot of these pictures are probably going to be cat pictures. But hopefully I’ll find other subjects also. Some days I might have multiple pictures to highlight, which will be nice. And why not post these on my blog when possible, too, to keep a daily or at least semi-regular posting routine going?

January 1

Stayed up especially late on New Year’s Eve (not doing anything that exciting, just being night owls); cats were ready for bed
