Picture a Day: Jan 7

Every day can’t always be a big day of going out and seeing or doing cool things. Today I captured a picture of Pixel before the sun disappeared for the evening. He likes to sit on the back of this armchair to soak up the afternoon sun — “sun kitty time”.

I always find it funny and amazing how cats have such an accurate sense of time. They observe and learn the routines and patterns around them (which is why seasonal time changes confuse). This makes them good hunters, but for indoor domestic cats, it helps them instead hunt for the afternoon sun and remind us when it’s time to prepare their meals. 😺
