Picture a Day: Mar 9

I’m having major déjà vu about this picture, as if I posted it somewhere already. But I can’t find it in the usual places I post my pictures. Perhaps I edited this before and didn’t post it for some reason. 🤷‍♀️

This is a picture of the partial solar eclipse that happened last October. We had to contend with cloudiness throughout the event, but it’s fine because it added interest to the subject. I was watching it from our backyard in the morning, so I didn’t have many interesting angles to shoot from.

Luckily I bought eclipse-observing sunglass things before the event. But I couldn’t use them for my camera. Below is the stack of neutral density filters I had to use to get an exposure that wasn’t just blinding white light:

I don’t have a large variable ND filter so I had to make do with this stack. 😆
