30 Days, 30 Inks: Day 14
The Ink
Day 14: Diamine Celadon Cat
I am not totally sold on this ink yet. I bought it because it has the word “cat” in the title, but also because it’s a color I don’t gravitate towards (green shades). In this “fresh” state, I don’t mind it because it’s light and it doesn’t look fully green. It kind of reminds me of a slightly less green and less/no-gray Troublemaker Petrichor (which may show up in this series later), but I haven’t looked at that ink closely lately, so I could be a bit off.
However, in the pens I filled with this ink, it would get concentrated, so the green (and ink overall) would get darker, less translucent, which didn’t appeal to me. So I’m still figuring out in which pen this ink would work best.
The Quote
Your brain gets too comfortable in your everyday surroundings. You need to make it uncomfortable. You need to spend time in another land, among people that do things differently than you. Travel makes the world look new, and when the world looks new, our brains work harder.
Again, I fully agree. Even traveling slightly out of one’s regular environment can help bring about a fresh perspective. Note to self: Break out of your daily routine and explore new areas around home!
