Rounding out the X-Pro3 kit
I haven’t used the manufacturer-provided camera strap since I had my Nikon D70 (to my recollection)… I usually substitute a well-used (and chewed-on) Quantaray camera strap onto my latest primary camera because its neoprene (I think) material is actually really comfortable. But I decided to try to find a nicer camera strap for the X-Pro3.
Also, while browsing Flickr for recent photos taken with the X-Pro3, I saw several compelling images captured with the 7Artisans 35mm 1.2, which I'd already kind of had my eye on, or at least I was interested in 7Artisans lenses because they are rather inexpensive but seem to have good image quality and build quality.
Yesterday the camera strap arrived from Moment, and today the lens arrived from B&H.
I’m glad the camera strap is here because a couple times earlier this week I brought the camera along on a short walk through the neighborhood with no strap attached. The whole time I was super worried I'd drop the camera, so it was not a fully relaxing time. 😜
Also, I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that until now, when I was messing around with all my manual focus lenses on the X-Pro3, I didn't realize how to turn on focus peaking on my Fujis. I've been manually focusing my images without any sort of focus assist, like a chump. 😝 Now that I remember to switch the camera to manual focus, I’m having so much better luck getting the focus right. 😅😅😅 I mainly found this out because my glasses are in dire need of an updated prescription, and I wanted help in dialing in focus while I haven’t gotten new glasses. So I finally messed around with settings and figured out how to see the focus peaking. *smh at myself*
