X-Files “Mytharc” Rewatch

A couple days ago I came across an article about how to rewatch The X-Files focusing on the “mytharc” episodes. The article mentioned that it’ll feel like the show will move a lot faster watching it this way, since there won’t be huge gaps between the arc episodes and the standalone or filler episodes. I haven’t watched this series in so long, so it’ll kind of be like watching it for the first time.

There are plenty of new TV shows that I could be watching, but I guess I’m more in the mood to rewatch familiar things. The last several weeks/months I’ve kept rewatching episodes of Steven Universe, Schitt's Creek, and we recently watched the whole first season of Ted Lasso.

I’ve been watching new TV, too, like Loki (very interesting so far!) and Mythic Quest. But it’s a lot easier to relax after work and half-watch a familiar show while doing other things like futzing around on my phone writing a blog post. 😛

Anyway, I just watched the first 2 season 1 episodes in the mytharc sequence and will continue to mix in these episodes with other stuff. It’ll be interesting to see how this viewing of The X-Files plays out. I don’t think I ever actually watched the whole series through as it was weird for Mulder not to be in later seasons. 🤷‍♀️
